American Crane and Equipment offers Series 602 & 603 Mini-hoists, Series 653 Lever Operated Hoists, Series 657 models, Puller Lever Tools, Short Handle Pullers and Rigger Lever Operated Hoists.
Each Series has their own distinctive features. For example, The 
Series 653 Lever Operated Hoists are high quality rugged steel tools for close quarter pulling, stretching, and hoisting applications. Its characteristic short handle, along with minimal lever pull effort, make this tool ideal for a broad range of applications.
The Series 602 & 603 are the most compact ratchet lever hoists on the market, but perform like the larger models. Series 657 models are available with load limiters and include through-hardened load chain. These metric rated stamped steel ratchet lever hoists are lightweight, durable and ideal for construction and commercial applications.
In addition, we offer Puller Level Tools, Short Handle Pullers and Rigger Level Operated Hoists for jobs that range from heavy-duty construction and industrial applications to moderate commercial applications. The Dixie division of Columbus McKinnon has been forging quality forestry and logging tools since 1910. American Crane can supply you with the only products which continue to utilize kiln-dried Hickory handles, which are 47% stronger than the maple used by other manufacturers. American Crane’s Bridge Travelers are movable platforms that are designed to allow safe access to the underside of bridges for inspection and maintenance purposes. We offer both self propelled gas and diesel versions as well as electric powered. Our designs are custom for each different bridge application. A standard design feature is proven anti-skewing and control technology to assure smooth operation. Custom capabilities include multi-directional articulation of the platform as well as personnel lifts to access additional areas under the roadway.

American Crane’s Travelers are located on the Queensborough, Mid-Hudson and Thousand Island bridges in New York. Our project for the Mackinac Bridge included eight of the most sophisticated Travelers in the Western Hemisphere, featuring telescopic platform extensions. The latest set of Travelers manufactured by American Crane was recently supplied for the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington State.
