To provide the customer with a free standing crane to be used in the explosion-proof/spark-resistant environment of the oil and gas industry while maintaining the highest quality and safety

Manufacture a crane with spark-resistant components to tolerate the demands of oil and gas activities.
THE RESULT
American Crane designed, manufactured, tested and installed a 2 metric ton pedestal base mounted single girder jib crane specifi cally designed with slewing bearing for the oil and gas industry. The crane was designed to meet Class I, Division 2, Group D hazardous location requirements. Special features included a manually operated hand chain hoist and trolley, a slewing bearing with an integral gear to provide slewing motion, spark resistant components such as bronze wheels, a bronze hook, stainless steel load chain, stainless steel slewing pinion and stainless steel weather-guard for hoist when not in use.
