Intelligent lifting utilizes a powered mechanism that produces forces or motion at higher levels of energy than input levels. Our inventory of Columbus McKinnon Intelligent motion parts and systems includes cranes, trolleys, hoists, and other lifting equipment.

Kits allow customers to build their own cranes in an economic fashion. Individualized components make repairs and customization easy on the customer’s end.

We regularly stock primary products found within the “ST” line, including sliding shoes, cleaning shoes, assemblies, terminals, support shafts, spacers, and more. This includes high position and low position motorhead support brackets.

Our extensive inventory of SAFPOWRBAR^® components includes current traps, collector leads, conductor bar ends, conductor bars, couplings, plastic guides, in-line air gap insulator assemblies, support bolts, special support insulators, and support insulators.

Articulating Jib Cranes position loads in places that are difficult to reach for traditional jibs. They are an excellent solution for reaching around corners and into machines.

These jibs are ideal for applications that demand maneuvering around obstacles or under obstructions. They have a 200-degree rotation on the primary boom and have a maximum capacity of 2,000 pounds.

Contrary to their name, these jibs can be mounted to the ceiling or a Gorbel-supported platform. This means the ceiling mounted jib can be used outdoors with the proper platform.

A free-standing jib is an excellent alternative to an articulating jib when there are insufficient walls or columns for mounting. These jibs offer 360 degrees of motion at each pivot point and have a maximum capacity of 2,000 pounds.

Gorbel manufactures workstation cranes available in aluminum or steel. Both incorporate an enclosed track that has high strength and low weight. They reduce worker strain by transporting heavy loads across workspaces.

Much like their workstation cranes, Gorbel monorail systems are available in both aluminum and steel. Hoists can be designed to tolerate loads of 4,000 pounds.

Tracks are available in two systems: 14 Gauge C-Track and 12 Gauge C-Track. These are available in galvanized steel or stainless steel. Aluminum tracks can be made available for pipe-type trolleys, both straight and curved.

Conductor bar systems convey electric power to equipment and are covered with ultraviolet additives for outdoor locations. All figure 8 configurations can tolerate high temperatures of up to 280°F.

Brakes are a critical safety component for any type of lifting system. They are needed to hold loads in place when the hoist motor is turned off and are crucial for establishing safe lowering speeds. Brakes are supported by covers, shock absorbers, springs, drums, fans, and other components.

Crane wheels are responsible for carrying the weight of the crane in action to the load. As such, they need to be made from the best materials that can withstand tremendous pressure. Munck provides wheels for cranes, trolleys, and a variety of wheel axles.

Gears and gearboxes are one of the most important components when designing a lifting solution. Munck gears are specifically designed to reduce power consumption and wear, effectively reducing cost. Munck manufactures gears for both hoists and motors. They also provide numerous components, including gear housing, pinions, and transmission gears.

We carry a large line of Munck gear paraphernalia, including drums, sheaves, guides, and their applicable accessories.

VFDs can be described as “the brains in the crane.” The deliver precise motion control, ensuring reliable performance.

Magnetek VFDs are better than general-purpose VFDs. They are designed to meet specific needs for individual cranes and applications.

These enable feedback throughout the operating system. This can improve operating performance by considering motor control predictability and other factors. Some of our more popular IMPULSE drives include G+ Mini, G+ Series 4, and VG+ Series.

These parts are especially helpful in robust cycle tasks in industrial sectors. When incorporated with DC or AC controls, dynamic braking can extend the lifespan of brake linings.
