What is the Hoist Up! Outreach Initiative?

At American Crane and Equipment Corporation, lifting isn’t just what we build — it’s what we believe in. The Hoist Up! Outreach Initiative channels our company’s spirit into meaningful action — embodying our motto, Always Lift. Never Quit.

Launched in 2024 under the leadership of Stephanie Delibertis, Owner & Executive Director of Outreach & Development at American Crane, the initiative was born from her passion for giving back and the company’s commitment to lifting people as powerfully as we lift equipment.

Why it Matters

Our core values, like “Life Matters”, “Be Passionate”, “Have Integrity” and “Do the Right Thing”, are more than words. Through Hoist Up!, we live those values by volunteering in our communities, advocating for causes we believe in, donating to help meet tangible needs and building stronger teams by working together for something beyond business.

What We Do

The Hoist Up! Outreach Initiative comes to life through five key activity areas — each one a way for our team to turn values into action:

Volunteerism

Our team members don’t just talk about making a difference — they get out there and do it. From packing school supplies to serving meals, American Crane employees roll up their sleeves to support local organizations and events. By showing up as neighbors and volunteers, we build meaningful connections with the communities that surround us.

Advocacy

We believe in using our voice to help others be heard. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, social campaigns, and internal education efforts, we help bring attention to causes that align with our company’s values — from supporting families in need to promoting STEAM education for the next generation of innovators.

Donations

Giving back takes many forms, and sometimes it starts with meeting immediate, tangible needs. Whether it is backpacks filled with school supplies, holiday care packages, or book drives to support early literacy, our donation efforts are rooted in the idea that small acts of generosity can create big ripples of impact.

Team Building

Community outreach isn’t just good for the community — it’s good for us too. Working together on service projects fosters teamwork, strengthens bonds, and inspires pride across our organization. When we work side by side outside the plant, we grow stronger inside it.

Scholarships & Sponsorships

We’re passionate about investing in the future. Through scholarship programs and local sponsorships, we help create opportunities for students and organizations in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). Supporting the next generation of dreamers and doers is one of the most meaningful lifts we can make.

Examples of Impact

In a recent campaign, we donated 250 backpacks filled with school supplies across Berks County in partnership with the United Way of Berks County and a host of local schools and youth-service organizations.

Earlier, we collected and donated 300+ books to support United Way’s “Ready.Set.READ!” initiative, helping foster pre-school and early-grade literacy in our region.

We also worked with local artists to create a mural on our headquarters building — a symbol of our legacy, culture and teams — that demonstrates how outreach can be creative, community-centric, and company-wide.
